2009 Travel Blogger Awards – UPDATE
Matthew CashmoreLonely Planet author
Things are moving a-pace in the world of Travel Blogger Awards – for a start we have a smart new logo – which is nice – we also have some smart badges for the nominated blogs.
Nominations closed on Wednesday 18th at midday Melbourne (AUS) time. We’ll now work out the top five nominated blogs for each category before posting them here for public voting on the 25th Feb 2009.
Some other dates for your diary – subject to change as things get sorted.
- Nominations close (18/02/09)
- Public Voting starts (25/02/09)
- Public Voting stops (20/03/09)
- Winners announced (26/03/09)
The planning is well advanced for a party to celebrate and announce the winners in San Francisco on the 26th March – put the date in your diary now – we’re working on the venue and the prizes – but suffice to say – the Best Travel Blog 2009 prize is awesome… really really awesome. I hope to confirm the prizes and sponsors in the next week.
