How does BlogSherpa get my content?
It's actually pretty simple. When your blog is submitted to Lonely Planet we fill out a simple form for an admin system that then goes and has a 'look' at your blog. It looks at the page source of your blog and identifies where your RSS feed lives.
We prefer to use your ATOM feed, but RSS works too.
We then use that feed to 'feed' blogsherpa. If your article isn't in your RSS or ATOM feed then it wont appear on BlogSherpa. So if you want an article to appear, you need to make sure that it's in your RSS feed. If you want to know what feed we're using for your blog - or want to change your feed then you can contact us via email (matthew.cashmore@lonelyplanet.com) and we'll sort it out for you.
Example:
If you have an RSS feed with only 10 entries, only the 10 most recent entries from your blog will be within BlogSherpa, as older entries drop out of your RSS feed they will also drop out of the BlogSherpa feed and therefore no longer appear on lonelyplanet.com
